About 60% of a Tour player’s shots are less than 130 yards, for the typical weekend player, that number may be as much as 70%, which includes putting. Having the properly fit wedges can dramatically increase your performance and cut strokes off your short game! If you're hitting your wedge shots within a 20' circle or less, this will also help with those three putts.
A great example is a Nationwide tour player who had an average of 32 putting strokes per round. After having several sets of Nomad Golf WRX wedges custom made for the different course conditions, this player has cut his putting average to 28 strokes per round. This is an amazing improvement for a tour player. For the typical amateur player the results are usually more dramatic. Players that normally shoot a true 95 are taking four to five strokes to get down from 120 yards to 20 yards out. Even one stroke saved on half of those holes would make it a whole new ball game.
Nomad Golf WRX has made thousands of custom wedges and putters for tour players, teaching pros, and college players in twenty six (26) countries. Nomad Golf WRX does not pay any player to use our clubs. All custom ordered clubs are paid for (none are given away). From the inception of Nomad Golf WRX, all clubs have been custom made for pro players, now for the first time a true tour service is being offered to the public.
Wedges, unlike most other clubs in your bag are an anomaly. With a driver, fairway woods, mid-to-long irons in most cases less spin is better. With wedges the more backspin you can produce, the better shot you can make. Once you know your wedge distance for the loft and swing speed, the optimum shot is to strike a ball and make it stop on a dime.
Very few pros use or carry "off-the-shelf" clubs in their tour bag. If you can get up close to a player's bag at a tournament, take a look at their wedges. You may be surprised to see there are not many bright, shiny chrome wedges or putters. With the Nomad Golf WRX Raw Satin Finish or Black Fog Treatment, players get an extra 15 to 20% more back spin and no blinding glare from the sun reflecting in their face.
Most professionals do not use traditional wedge grinds. Tour players carry a variety of wedges for different courses. These wedges may have a different loft, lie, bounce, radius, and cambers to fit the variety of conditions under which they play.
Custom wedges can make it easier to precisely control distance and ultimately lower your score!
Ron Price’s NOMAD Golf WRX is a full service golf tour van company that caters to the pro golfer, as well as the average player.
At our tour golf shop we can do any custom grind to your clubs to make them much more playable in your environment and to the style of game & swing you have. We can add or reduce bounce, do tour grinds, add camber or roll. The WRX special service team has developed its own unique “GTO” tour grind while working with tour players looking for an edge on the course. This special grind does several things to the dynamics of the head. The “GTO” tour grind lets the player open or close the face without adding extra bounce and it also reduces drag at impact.
This special grind works on all brands like Cleveland, Titleist Vokey, Ping, Mizuno, Taylormade, Callaway, Feel and Nike. The “GTO” tour grind can be applied to many other brands as well.

Here at Ron Price Golf WRX , our goal is to lower your score no matter what your handicap may be. Most pro golfers with a negative score average can realize a .25% to 1.50% score reduction that can add up to thousands of dollars on tour. A typical bogey (+18) golfer may see a score reduction of two to six strokes per round.
We receive letters & e-mails every day from players that have broken through a scoring wall that may have lasted for years. For some people, it’s to break 100 and for others it's 90 or 80 and less. In most cases this will take place after just having their wedges tuned-up with our “WRX” treatment. The treatment is grooves, grind, porting and balance. The “WRX” treatment will get you on the green and closer to the flag. This makes for more par and birdie putts. The overall effect is fewer putts and lower scores.
Our pre 2010 wedges
will be legal for 99.99% of all golfers. This will be in effect till at least
2014 and maybe extended till 2024. Only the Elite Tour Pro's will be required
to play the 2010 model clubs with the new 2010 "V" grooves.The new 2010 model
irons (down to the 5 iron) & wedge may have a reduced spin rate by as much as
50%. For the non-Elite our wedges will become "State of the Art" as older "U"
& Square groove model wedges will not be produced. Watch for more up dates and
links on our web site. This is the first time in golfing history that two sets
of USGA & R&A rules will be applied..

foot tour golf shop. Our wedges are used each week on all tours world wide. A
few of clients have been Nike, Bobby Grace, M.L. Wilson, Cobra, MacGregor,
Feel, Mellennia and Dallas Golf along with over one hundred tour pro's and
college team players in thirty countries around the world. Each year we have
fifteen to twenty tour reps at the PGA golf show in Orlando. One of our people
got to have lunch at the 99 Masters with Fred Couples, John Houston and Tiger
