WRX Treatment: (1) Porting: By milling two holes in the back of the club muscle, it raises the center of gravity of the club. This provides more of a sweet spot in the center of the club, just where it should be. It lowers the ball flight trajectory and will give you more control. (2) Square Grooves: Machine square grooves typically add about 1500 rpm's of backspin to the ball. This allows you to be more precise when firing at the flag and sticking the ball at a 1 to 2 putt distance. (3) "GTO" Grind: The "GTO" grind consists of a 3 degree toe roll, a 7 degree heel roll, and a 2 degree trailing edge roll. This allows the club to be open or closed without adding additional bounce. This also helps reduce drag at impact, thus helping keep the face square at impact. (4) "M" Grind: This special sole grind is designed to be more forgiving in softer conditions, as it has a foil effect over the surface as the club head passes over it. The "M" stands for "More Forgiving". (5) "P" Grind: This special sole grind reduces digging and large divot taking associated with steep swings. It also helps keep the club head square at impact and makes pitching/chipping very forgiving in tight or firm playing conditions.
